Frequently asked questions.

What kinds of sessions do you offer?

I specialize in elevated natural light portraits for actors, models (signed or unsigned), and creatives—but I also love working with everyday people who want to mark a special moment, celebrate themselves, or simply get beautiful photos just because.

Sessions include:

  • Headshots

  • Model Digitals (Polaroids)

  • Creative Portraits & Editorials

  • Branding sessions for entrepreneurs and small businesses

  • Couples and families (available occasionally—feel free to inquire!)

I also occasionally offer portrait days at a special rate—keep an eye on my Instagram or newsletter to snag a spot.

Do you retouch the photos?

Yes, I do light retouching to enhance the image without over-editing. This usually includes evening out tones, gentle skin cleanup, and removing distractions—while keeping you looking like you.

I do not do body modifications (such as changing body shape, size, or features), as that doesn’t align with my beliefs and I want my work to stay true and authentic.

For model digitals, no retouching is done (other than basic background cleanup if needed), since agencies request natural, unedited images.

If you have special editing requests, you’re welcome to ask! Depending on the request, additional fees may apply for the extra editing time required.

How far in advance should I book?

At least 2–4 weeks in advance is best to get your ideal date. My calendar fills quickly, especially when i have discounted shoot days and specials.

What’s included in a session?

Each session includes:

  • A set number of looks/outfits (typically 2–3)

  • Studio time in beautiful natural light

  • A proof gallery to select your final images

  • Edited high-resolution files

Details vary by package—feel free to reach out if you’re not sure what’s right for you.

Do you deliver RAW or unedited photos?

I don’t deliver RAW files or unedited images. The final editing and retouching process is a huge part of my work—it’s where I bring everything together in terms of color, lighting, and overall feel. What you see in my portfolio has gone through this full process, and I want every image that leaves my studio to reflect that same quality.

Unedited files (whether RAW or straight from camera) don’t represent the final vision or standard I stand behind, and I also ask that unedited proofs not be shared online. Instead, you’ll receive a watermarked, low-res proof gallery after your shoot to make your selections (the amount depends on your package). Once your favorites are chosen, I’ll deliver your fully retouched, high-resolution images ready for download and use.

This approach ensures you walk away with polished, intentional images that truly reflect your session and my work.

How does payment work?

To secure your session, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due immediately after your session.

For deposits, I accept Venmo or Zelle.
For final payments, you can pay via Venmo, Zelle, or cash.

Your session date isn’t officially reserved until the deposit is received.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Deposits are non-refundable, but if you give at least 48 hours’ notice, I’m happy to apply your deposit toward one rescheduled session.

If you need to reschedule more than once, a new deposit will be required to hold your date.
If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice or don’t show up, the deposit is forfeited.

What if I’m running late?

I get it—life happens! Please let me know as soon as possible if you’re running behind. Your session will still end at the originally scheduled time so I can stay on track with other bookings.

If you’re more than 20 minutes late without notice, your session may be considered a no-show, and your deposit will be forfeited.

On occasion, if you’d like to extend your session to make up for lost time and my schedule allows, extra time can be added at my standard rate of $100 per hour (or $25 per 15 minutes).

how long do your shoots last?

it can vary by session type, but my base rate sessions are up to two hours.

What’s your photography style like?

Clean, minimal, and natural—with a dreamy, professional feel. I work with soft, flattering light in my studio and keep posing simple so the real you comes through.

How do I book a session?

Booking is super easy! Just fill out the inquiry form on my site with your ideal dates. I’ll follow up with availability and next steps, including deposit and contract.

How long until I get my photos?

You’ll receive your proof gallery within 3–5 days. Once you’ve made your selections, final edits are typically delivered within 2 weeks. If you need photos urgently (for agencies, auditions, etc.), let me know—I offer expedited options when possible.

Do I need to come with makeup/hair done?

Unless your session includes hair, makeup, or styling (or you've booked it as an add-on), yes—you’ll need to arrive camera-ready. For model digitals, keep it clean and minimal—no heavy makeup or styling. For headshots and portraits, come as you feel best. If you’d like to book a hair and makeup artist, I’m happy to share trusted recommendations

What should I wear?

it varies on the type of session. Once we book, I’ll ask you for your inspo/ideas and i can send moodboards that can help on what to wear for your session. But a quick tip: simple pieces in solid, neutral tones photograph best.

Where are you located?

I’m based in Chicago IL and my studio is located in the ravenswood neighborhood. There’s street parking nearby and we’re close to public transit!
