what to expect
Your model digitals are photographed in flattering natural light against a clean white backdrop. I'll guide you through each shot and angle during your session, with a model digitals moodboard available for reference when needed.
Once your session is booked, you'll receive a confirmation email with a helpful guide and moodboard to reference for outfit inspiration and practicing poses before your session.
Sessions are one-on-one, with just you and me in the studio. You're welcome to bring a supportive friend, partner, or family member as long as they are respectful of the session and studio space.
About a week after your session, you'll receive a curated proof album to select your final images from. I recommend checking the specific digital requirements for any agencies you're submitting to, and I'll also include a reminder of the general shots agencies typically request.
Your selected images are lightly finished with cropping, straightening, color correction, and background cleanup. Skin, blemishes, hair, body, and other features are not retouched, keeping your digitals natural and agency appropriate.
Final images are delivered within 1 to 2 weeks after selections are submitted. As a small gift, you'll also receive a complimentary comp card featuring four of your strongest images, selected by me.
what are
model digitals?
Whether you're signed or unsigned, having clean, professional digitals, also known as polaroids, is an essential part of your modeling materials. These digitals are intentionally simple, natural images used by agencies, casting directors, and clients to evaluate someone's current appearance without heavy styling, retouching, or elaborate concepts.
what to wear
Digitals should highlight you, not your outfit. Choose simple, form-fitting basics that allow your features and proportions to be seen clearly. Most importantly, wear something you feel confident and comfortable in. If you don't feel good in what you're wearing, it will show in your photos.
Women: A fitted top with jeans or leggings is a great option for one look. For a second look, you can bring another simple outfit or a bikini. For shoes, black, white, or nude heels work well. Both kitten heels and high heels are welcome.
Men: A typical first look is a fitted tank or shirt with jeans. For a second look, you can choose a different simple top or go shirtless with jeans. Clean sneakers or loafers work best.
Keep it simple: Avoid logos, bold prints, excessive layers, accessories, jewelry, or anything else that may distract from you. Bring a few different shoe options when possible. Even better, bring clean shoes in a separate bag so you can change into them at the studio.
hair, makeup & grooming
The goal is to look like yourself. I recommend arriving makeup-free with clean, natural skin. If you prefer a little makeup, keep it extremely minimal and natural, such as moisturizer, brow gel, and lip balm. If you choose to wear more makeup, it should still look like you're not wearing makeup at all.
Hair should be clean, natural, and styled simply so your face and features remain visible.
why are model
digitals important?
Model digitals give agencies and casting directors a clear, natural look at your current appearance. Unlike traditional portfolio images, digitals are intentionally simple and minimally edited so your features, proportions, hair, skin, and overall presence can be seen without styling or retouching getting in the way.
Whether you're submitting to an agency, preparing for castings, or updating your current materials, having recent digitals helps you present yourself accurately and professionally.
Even with a full portfolio, it's important to keep your digitals updated. Agencies often request fresh images as your appearance changes, so having a current set ready to submit can make the process much easier.
Let's create a fresh set of digitals that represents you exactly as you are.
