Chicago Creative Portraits & Non-Traditional Headshots | July 19th Summer Studio Sessions

On July 19th, my Chicago photography studio was filled with energy for a special one-day portrait event! a simplified version of my regular sessions, but still with all the care, creativity, and beautiful natural light I’m known for. These creative portraits and non-traditional headshots were short, sweet, and still beautifully shot.

Every client who walked through the door brought something different to the table, and it made for such a fun day of shooting. Most people came in for a non-traditional work headshot — which, if you know me, is one of my favorite things to create. I love when headshots break the mold and show off someone’s personality, style, and individuality, no matter what career they’re in.

For some, this was their first-ever photoshoot, booked purely for the experience — and it was so special to guide them through it. Others were models looking for a quick portfolio refresh. No matter their reason for being there, each session was unique, easygoing, and full of great conversation.

My goal for every shoot that day was to create portraits that truly represented each person, while still feeling elevated, fresh, and them. Whether you’re a creative professional, an entrepreneur, or just someone wanting updated portraits, a modern headshot doesn’t have to feel stiff — it can be relaxed, stylish, and completely you.

If you’ve been wanting updated portraits or a work headshot that feels more “you” and less “LinkedIn template,” I’d love to have you in the studio. Whether it’s your first shoot or your fiftieth, I’ll make sure you feel comfortable and look your absolute best.
