When it comes to launching or updating your modeling portfolio, model digitals (also called “polaroids”) are your first impression. Agencies and clients want to see you as you are — clean, natural, and confident in front of the camera. In my Chicago studio, I photograph digitals in a way that’s agency-ready yet still feels elevated.
My Approach to Model Digitals
I keep my setup simple and timeless: a crisp white background lit by a large, north-facing window that gives the most flattering natural light on everyone. This kind of light is soft, even, and true-to-life, making sure your features and skin tones look accurate and beautiful without harsh shadows.
I never retouch the model in digitals — agencies need to see the real you — but I do clean up the background so the final images feel polished, professional, and focused entirely on you. It’s a small touch that keeps the image clean and elevated while staying true to industry standards.

The Experience in My Studio
My model digitals package includes two looks, so you’ll leave with a variety of images that show your range while keeping everything agency-appropriate. I’ll guide you through posing, facial expressions, and movement so you feel comfortable and confident — even if it’s your first time in front of the camera.
After our shoot, I’ll send you a narrowed-down online album of proofs — these are lightly processed images straight from our session, so you can see each pose, angle, and expression clearly before any final touches. You can make your own selections from this proof set, or, if you prefer, I can choose the strongest images for you based on industry standards. Once your selections are made, I’ll finalize and deliver your clean, polished model digitals, ready to submit to agencies or add to your portfolio.
