Nicole’s Branding Session: Launching Studio by NK

I always love when a session feels like a true collaboration, and Nicole’s was exactly that. She just opened her own studio and is releasing a collection of dreamy, high-shine hair accessories under her new brand, Studio by NK. This shoot was focused on capturing the feel behind the pieces — soft, airy, and full of texture.

Before the shoot, Nicole told me,
"I feel like we can really play with all the colors and shiny metals and textures. This would really be more creative and aesthetic than a traditional product shoot."

So we approached it as a visual story. Nicole brought a small suitcase filled with her accessories, and it quickly became the centerpiece. She opened it mid-shot, and we leaned into a bit of motion blur to create that dreamy, in-the-moment feeling. It made everything feel spontaneous, like catching a glimpse into her creative process.
